June Ipsy Review

  • Leopard Print Bag: I'm not a huge fan of animal prints but I do like leopard in this tiny bag size. The neon zipper is a nice accent and I like that its on the front instead of the top like the past bags. I think this one might become my new purse makeup bag.
  • Line-Fix Gel Eyeliner by Cailyn Cosmetics, full size: Hands down my favorite item in my June bag! I got the purple one which I was psyched about because 1. I wear a lot of purple and 2. I got a Mica eyeliner in a past month that was I'm black, the other color that was sent out. The handle has a built in brush that's very soft. The consistency is very smooth. I've already worn it several times. I wanted to buy more colors with the Ipsy promo but resisted because it was still too expensive. Boo.
  • Lip Pencil by Starlooks, full size: I don't have any lip liners at all. It's definitely not a natural color. I kind of wish I had something more versatile. I don't have any lipsticks that match the very pink shade I received. Someone recommended using it as an all over color with a gloss on top, so I might try that to see if it looks less Barbie pink on me.
  • Cream Blush by Nyx, full size:  I've never used a cream blush before. I received it in Hot Pink. it definitely lives up to the name. I had no idea how to apply it so I asked the lovelies on Ipsy. Consensus was just using your finger tips or a stippling brush. I thought, 'Balls I'd rather not have neon pink fingers but I don't want to shell out money for a product I might not use.' Luckily I found an e.l.f. stippling brush at Target for $3. It picks up a lot of color and its not heavy like I thought a cream blush might be.
  • Sparkling Cream Palette by J.Cat Beauty, full size: I saw this in the sneak peak along with a million comments about how it was childish or whore-ish (what a distinction...) but remained optimistic, figuring I could use it as a glitter liner. Except that it arrives and it explicitly says its not intended for use on your eyes. And yet it comes with two sponge applicators like you would see with eye shadow. Way to think that packaging through. More complaints: the palette itself is hard to pry open and I tried to use the glitter as part of a gradient manicure with no success. Glitter nail mess :o( Disappointment.
  • Psssst Original Dry Shampoo by Freeman Beauty: I love dry shampoo! My roots get greasy after a day of not washing but the rest of my hair is dry. I've never tried this brand before so I was excited about it. I think I'm going to use this one for travel.
I meant to not duplicate my Instagram photos on here but soon after I got my bag I started playing with everything. Fingerprints in and packaging out. My bad.
